Spring in February
Warm and balmy weather has arrived with the Chinook wind. I watch the sky from my kitchen window. I’ve finished a piece “Night Garden” for the exhibition titled Analog at Concourse by Elevation Gallery in Three Sisters, Canmore, Alberta. The opening reception is on Feb14 from 2-7pm. Gallery artists will be in attendance and it should prove to be an interesting, varied and exciting show.
In the studio I have two new 3ft square panels ready to go. I’m looking forward to continuing my exploration of a close up view of landscape. It is such an interesting process to begin a painting with just a single idea…”botanicals” and let the process dictate the specific outcome.

Welcome to my new website and hopefully a regular posting on my new blog. Today is a magical, winter wonderland. I’m learning how to use this new website and will share some photos and info that influences my painting and indeed my life. It’s interesting trying to draw a line between life and painting. We’ll see how that goes.
